Rhytidectomy
(Face / Neck Lift)
Thoughtfully Performed Facial Rejuvenation by Denver’s Leading Surgeons
A finely tuned, surgical approach to refining facial structure while preserving the expressions that make you look and feel like you.
Why Denver Patients Choose Face or Neck Lifts
Changes in the face and neck rarely happen all at once. It’s more often a gradual process which occurs over a long period of time – skin loses elasticity, deeper tissues begin to descend, and the jawline and neck can lose their once toned and tight definition. For many patients we serve here in Denver, these changes don’t match how energetic or healthy they still feel and can impact their confidence.
Face and neck lift surgery (rhytidectomy) is designed to address these concerns at a structural level. Rather than simply tightening and stretching the skin on your face, the procedure our highly trained surgical team focuses on, is repositioning the deeper layers of the face and neck that naturally shift with age. This approach allows for more natural, balanced results that hold up well over time.
Patients often consider this type of cosmetic surgery when non-surgical treatments no longer provide meaningful improvement, or when they’re looking for a more comprehensive, longer-lasting solution to the effects of aging.

Outcomes Associated With Rhytidectomy
When performed carefully and conservatively, face and neck lift surgery can offer improvements that feel substantial but still natural. Our surgeons are Denver’s finest, and know how to provide slight enhancements to your appearance which will make a world of difference.
Patients we’ve treated in commonly notice benefits such as:
- Better definition along the jawline and under the chin
- A smoother, more youthful neck contour
- Reduction in jowling and lower facial sagging
- Softening of deeper creases without a tight or pulled look
- Results that remain stable for many years
The goal is not to erase every sign of aging, but instead to restore structure and balance without changing your entire appearance and look out of the blue.
The Surgical Process & Recovery Timeline
Face and neck lift surgery is performed under anesthesia right here in Denver at our on-site surgical facility. During the procedure, your surgeon will carefully lift and reposition deeper facial tissues to restore support. Excess skin is then conservatively adjusted to follow these newly restored contours in a way that retains your natural facial structure.
Recovery happens gradually with a rhytidectomy, and it is not uncommon to experience swelling and bruising during the first one to two weeks. From this point on though, this will steadily improve. Most patients feel comfortable returning to social or professional settings within two to three weeks, as things are somewhat settled at this point. That being said, it is worth noting that a number of patients report subtle changes that continue to refine over several months.
Because the underlying support structures are addressed, results tend to be longer lasting than treatments that focus only on the skin’s surface.
What Sets Us Apart As Face & Neck Lift Surgeons
Facial rejuvenation surgery requires precision, restraint, and experience – all of which our doctors confidently bring to the table. Small decisions during surgery can have a lasting impact on both appearance and expression, and when you’re having work done on your face, you want a tenured team behind those decisions.
At Park Avenue OculoPlastic Surgeons, our team takes an anatomy-first approach for every single rhytidectomy we provide. Every surgical procedure we perform is carefully tailored to the individual, taking into account facial proportions, skin quality, and how the face naturally moves. We always avoid aggressive techniques that can lead to an overdone appearance.

I underwent an extensive Mohs surgery. The cancer was so deep, they had to remove my tear duct and drain in the process. As well as most of my eyelid. Dr. Vaishnav and his team completed my reconstruction surgery. I cannot express how grateful I am for the care I received. Dr. Vaishnav made me feel incredibly comfortable, explained the process thoroughly and treated me with compassion. I admire Dr. Vaishnav's confidence the most. I was always in good hands. Dr. Vaishnav did an incredible job with the reconstructive repair. If you are facing Mohs surgery and need reconstruction surgery, I highly recommend this team—they are truly professional, caring, and experts at what they do. You have my heartfelt gratitude and respect.Posted on Billie HTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Excellent surgery. Great results and follow ups.Posted on Mimi dTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My experience with Dr Vaishnav and the surgical team was excellent. I was referred to PAOS through Kaiser, and the billing and coverage were seamlessly handled between PAOS and KP. I needed ptosis and blepharoplasty procedures for both eyes, and Dr Vaishnav listened to and delivered on what I wanted in terms of a natural appearance. The procedure was quick and the surgical team was caring and personable. My vision is much more open and brighter thanks to Dr Vaishnav and PAOS.Posted on Wendy TTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great place, with excellent nurses, techs, and doctors! Dr. Chan is literally the best doctor ever, very great listener and highly trained. He truly cares about helping his patients feel better. My pre-op nurse was Eric and he was very kind, efficient, empathetic, and skilled. I also had Cindy and Sabeena, who were also fun, kind, and skilled.Posted on J PTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr. Yash Vaishnav is amazing! I’ve had the bad luck of having to get a Mohs procedure near my eye, in my 30s, and although it’s been unfortunate to have to have it done at my age Dr. Vaishnav not only did a great job with my procedure, but also has provided great continuity of care post op. I still have scarring and swelling (which is totally normal) a few months post op, and he has been diligent with follow ups in order to get me as close to normal as possible. Some surgeons just preform the surgery and move on, but he has truly cared about the healing of my eye and my concerns. I’m very happy I was referred to him and his team and would recommend him to anyone going through the same thing!Posted on Hannah RTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr.Vaishnav was so very competent, reassuring and did excellent work. I am so very pleased and grateful to him.. His staff was very pleasant and informative.Posted on Marty M

Face & Neck Lift Questions Patients Commonly Ask
How Much Does a Face or Neck Lift Typically Cost?
Typically a face lift or neck lift procedure costs in the range of $10,000 – $15,000, depending of course on the precise surgical plan you have. Our surgeons and office staff can help you understand your precise costs more in depth during your initial consultation.
Will This Surgery Make Me Look Unnatural?
No, a face and neck lift should make you look refreshed, not at all tight or artificial. Natural results are our specialty, and preserving natural expression is a top priority.
How Uncomfortable Is Recovery?
Most patients describe a feeling of tightness or pressure rather than significant pain during the recovery process. Discomfort is typically manageable with prescribed medication.
How Long Do Results of Face or Neck Lifts Typically Last?
Results often last a decade or more, and face or neck lids are considered long term procedures. Aging does of course continue, but most patients feel they look consistently younger than they would have without surgery and do not typically require follow up procedures later on.
When Can I Return to Normal Activities After Surgery?
Light activities resume within a few days, the actual discomfort is often quite manageable. Many patients take a bit longer to return to work and social settings given the visibility of the recovery process, and are back to these activities in two to three weeks, depending on healing.
Are Non-surgical Treatments Still An Option?
Non-surgical treatments can help with early changes, but they cannot reposition deeper tissues or provide the same level of correction as surgery.
